Why a padel court wears faster than you think
A few months of intensive play is enough to throw a court out of balance. Infill sand shifts, leaves and fluff pile up, and the game gets noticeably worse.
Sand in the wrong place
Infill sand collects in the corners and along the back line, while the middle goes bare. The result: an irregular bounce and players losing grip.
Leaves and ball fluff block the drainage
Leaves and ball fluff build up around the drainage. When it rains, the water stays on the surface and the court becomes wet and slippery, a real safety risk for players.
Maintenance that relies on volunteers
Sweeping by hand quickly takes hours a week, on top of all the other volunteer work. So it is the first thing to slip.
Artificial turf that needs replacing sooner
Sand that lies unevenly and dirt that stays put make the fibres wear faster. If you put off maintenance, you will have to replace the court sooner.
Sweep up to 6 courts on one full battery
Work efficiently without interruptions. On a full battery you can work for up to 1.5 hours, enough to sweep an average of up to 6 complete courts. It has a handy battery indicator: green means full, orange half full, and once it turns red you can still sweep for approx. 10 minutes. When the battery is empty, it fully recharges in 6 hours.
Protection against damage to the walls
The VP70 is fitted with a sturdy bumper bar with rollers, so the machine can move safely and in a controlled way along the cage and the glass walls. This prevents damage to the walls and to the machine, and makes the VP70 a very practical machine for maintaining padel clubs.
Quiet, dust-free sweeping
The Meijer VP70 delivers maximum performance at a low noise level. Players are not disturbed while you sweep, helped by the polyester filter pack that stops the machine from raising dust in use. Sweeping is therefore not a distraction and has no negative effect on air quality.
Fits through any doorway
Thanks to its compact design, the Meijer VP70 rolls straight through a standard door. With a 68 cm sweeping width including the side brush and a tight turning circle, you can use it not only on the padel courts but across the whole sports complex: from the clubhouse to the car park.
Maintenance in three fixed rhythms
A padel court does not need the same work every day. Split the maintenance into three rhythms and the VP70 does the heavy lifting in each of them.
Free of leaves, fluff and litter
Before and after playing hours you do a quick round: the mesh hopper catches leaves and ball fluff, while the infill sand falls back through the mesh onto the court. Around 10 minutes per court.
Fibres upright, sand evenly spread
With the main brush and side brush together you sweep 68 cm wide. This stands the fibres back up and spreads the sand evenly across the whole court.
Thoroughly along the glass walls
For the seasonal clean you go close along the cage and the glass walls. The bumper bar with rollers rolls safely along them, so you can clean thoroughly without damaging the walls.
