Metech is the importer of Tenax's innovative electric street sweepers. Tenax is creating a new revolution within the street sweeper market:
The MaxWind is a waste vacuum and street sweeper in one. This all-electric machine has a 90-liter dirt container, in which the special HEPA filter traps fine PM10 and quartz dust. Compact as it is, it is easy to operate from behind the machine while walking, standing or sitting.
The SmartWind is also a waste vacuum and street sweeper in one. With a 220-liter waste container, including HEPA filter for PM10 particulate matter and quartz dust, this all-electric machine is a step larger than the Maxwind. The machine offers a seat for one person and controls via its unique joystick controls. The SmartWind has been in production since early 2019 and is the latest addition to the Tenax sweeper fleet. Furthermore, the machine has a net working time of 4 to 6 hours, more than enough for squares, parks and business parks, for example.
With the Electra 1.0, Tenax goes one step further. This is the most energy-efficient sweeper up to 1 m3 in the world. With no hydraulics involved, and the associated energy loss, the machine has low energy consumption; the battery lasts longer. In addition, there is regeneration of the battery when braking. With the Electra 1.0 and the 2.0, Tenax is the only manufacturer of all-electric sweepers.
With a unique particulate filter, the Electra 1.0 captures harmful particulate matter PM10. In addition, the Electra 1.0 and 2.0 with the 48-volt electrical system are the lowest voltage street sweepers in the world. Because of this system, there are no special workshop requirements and no special personnel training is required. Add to this the CAN-BUS system, which makes it easy to read the machine, and you have a very user-friendly sweeper. Finally, the machine has a 100-liter clean water tank. On average, it has a net working time of 6 to 8 hours, including use of the air conditioner and/or heater.
As a 2 m3 electric sweeper, the Electra 2.0 is the big brother of the Electra 1.0 not only in size, but also in specifications. Like the 1.0, the 2.0 is all-electric and the most energy-efficient machine of its kind. To reinforce this, the brakes regenerate energy, the machine has a 48-volt electrical system and uses the same CAN-BUS system as the Electra 1.0. For 92%, the machine is recyclable, minimizing its impact on the environment. In addition to the larger dumpster capacity, the 2.0's cab seats two people, has a clean water tank of as much as 400 liters and easily switches between two-wheel steering in drive mode and four-wheel steering in work mode.
In the context of sustainability and the long term, we not only focus on all-electric machines, but also go for the most energy-efficient machines. In this, we make no concessions. Where conventional front brushes are hydraulically driven, resulting in 30% energy losses, our machines have electric front brushes. By replacing the hydraulic component with the innovative electric solution, the machines are more energy efficient.
The electric drive ensures that the machine can drive up a 35% slope without difficulty, while operating.
Significant fuel savings will be realized compared to traditional diesel sweepers. After an average of 3 years, the break-even point is reached in terms of Total Cost of Ownership (electric versus diesel).
The electric street sweeper does not emit CO2.
The low noise level allows the street sweeper to be used as early as the early morning hours or late evening hours.
Tenax has the only street sweepers in the world that operate with a 48V electrical system. This eliminates the need for special training requirements for your mechanics.
